Using the LOGON Method to Change Your Password

When you enter your password when logging on, you can include your new password after the old password, separated by a slash (/). Both will be masked. ACF2 will ask you to type in the new password again to verify it.

Example:

LOGON JDOE
ACFAC2244R Enter CA-ACF2 password
oldpswd/newpswd
ACFAC2246R *** Please type in the NEW PASSWORD AGAIN to verify ***
newpswd

If your password has already expired, the LOGON messages will be slightly different than those shown above. See the following example.

Example:

LOGON JDOE
ACFVLD017E The PASSWORD for your userid (JDOE) has EXPIRED
ACFAC5684W Recent passwords are not usable; password must be 5 to 8 characters
ACFAC2256R *** Please type in a NEW PASSWORD NOW ***
